Poland’s state prosecutors are moving ahead with an investigation into failed digital asset trading platform Zondacrypto, which the pro-European government accuses of links with the nationalist opposition.
Police on Thursday detained the head of the country’s Olympic Committee, who was backed by the previous administration and handed Zondacrypto a huge marketing contract. A day earlier, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said alleged gifts from the platform’s boss had pushed the opposition to thwart attempts to tighten regulations on trading cryptocurrencies.
