The Ethereum Foundation's (EF) executive director Hsiao-Wei Wang has resigned from her role leading the organization, the latest in a series of high-profile departures in recent months.
On social media, Wang said she has left the Ethereum Foundation effective immediately. She added that she reached the decision after a recent sabbatical.
Her departure follows the resignation of fellow co-executive director Tomasz Sta?czak, who announced earlier this year that he would leave the Switzerland-based nonprofit.

Wang's exit adds to a series of upheavals at the Ethereum Foundation. At least eight senior figures have left the organization in the past five months.
The situation has led to scrutiny and criticism of the Foundation's priorities, governance, and strategic direction, as Ethereum faces mounting competition from rival blockchains.
Wang reflected on Ethereum's mission in her resignation statement posted to social media.
"Ethereum has always been bigger than any one role, any one organization, or any one moment," she wrote.
Ethereum is currently trading at $1,685 U.S.
