Ethereum (CRYPTO: $ETH) co-founder Vitalik Buterin is telling investors to expect more changes at the Ethereum Foundation.
Buterin said that the Foundation is increasingly focused on achieving “longevity over breadth.” To that end, the foundation plans to shrink in size and reduce its ETH sales in coming months.
Vitalik Buterin also says that the Ethereum Foundation plans to narrow its focus to CROPS: censorship resistance, capture resistance, openness, privacy and security.

The Ethereum Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the ETH ecosystem.
In a lengthy social media post, Buterin detailed that the Ethereum Foundation holds roughly 0.16% of all ETH, well below the 10% to 50% that’s common for the foundations of other crypto.
He added that his own influence and involvement with the foundation will decrease as the board of directors expands, aligning with his desire to be less involved with the organization.
The social media post arrives after eight senior members of the Ethereum Foundation left the organization in recent months, with five people departing in May alone.
The high-profile resignations have sparked a debate over the foundation's future.
The foundation has also come under fire in recent months for its sales of ETH, which it says have been undertaken to fund ongoing operations.
However, long-time Ethereum holders have criticized the foundation and its sales of ETH, noting that the cryptocurrency’s price has fallen nearly 60% against Bitcoin over the past five years.
Ethereum is currently trading at $2,137.89 U.S., less than half the level it was at last August.
